About the Congress

On these pages, you will find information and facts about many different aspects of the Congress. The information is divided into four categories, which you are able to read more about at the subpages and here below.

History of the Congress

The International Scientific Congress entitled "Climate Change: Global Risks, Challenges & Decisions" has already been held, but the long road to the Congress is still of interest and these pages can help you in your efforts on creating a comprehensive overview on the process. Moreover, you will be able to find some general information about the Congress and the output.

The Congress was organised by the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU).

Facts about the Congress

The fact page contains every detail that you might seek. Here you will find all the programmes from the Congress, the list of the participants, the plenary speakers and session chairs, amongst other information.

Committees of the Congress

To organize the Congress, the International Alliance of Research Universities established two committees, the Scientific Steering Committee and the Local Organising Committee, respectively, with the task of planning the Congress together with one Writing Team with the purpose of writing the Key Messages, the Synthesis Report, and the book. The book will include more detailed scientific results from the sessions and will be published by Cambridge University Press in 2010.

Session Proceedings

As the proceedings of the sessions are been submitted by the chairs, they will be published at this page. Further information on the participants on each session can be found here (pdf) and the abstracts of the respectively sessions can be found here.
